If you’re having trouble making friends in second life it’s likely you’re doing something that’s offensive, rude or just plain weird. Through out this project it has become apparent that second life parallels real life in a lot of ways, especially in our interactions with people. If you’re looking to moderately annoy someone in SL a good place to start is with direct insults, pushing or being nosy and butting into someone’s conversation. These actions will likely get you into a verbal or written dispute within 30 seconds or less!
Now if you were trying to step it up a notch I would advise you to put together a combination of the following: Asking for friendship immediately, having a child avatar or yelling into the microphone “GAARRRHH!” Possibly the rudest and easiest way to get bounced from a location is by entering someone’s love scene, home or other private sector without permission. There’s nothing more offensive then teleporting into someone’s bungalow on the beachfront who’s trying to do the horizontal polka with a lover. You generally receive a 2 minute warning before being forced out but it’s best to stay as long as possible if your goal is to not make friends.
